Scott Kemp serves as the Student Loan Advocate in the Office of the Qualified Education Loan Ombudsman at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). Prior to this position, Scott served as an Interim VP of Student Services, a State Director for the High School Career Coach Program, a community college Civil Rights Compliance Coordinator, a K-12 State Career Specialist, and a School Counselor.
His career has focused on helping students and those who work with students on their career pathway to success. Scott received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia; master’s degrees from Hollins College and Catholic University and an Education Specialist degree in Higher Education from Old Dominion University.
