The Virginia College Access Network (VirginiaCAN) is an organization of college access providers across Virginia. VirginiaCAN member organizations share a common goal - to enhance postsecondary education access and attainment for residents of Virginia.
While the Commonwealth of Virginia has higher levels of educational attainment than some states, as the chart below shows almost 43 percent of Virginians age 25 and older have not pursued education beyond high school. VirginiaCAN member organizations, many having a focus on serving populations traditionally underrepresented in higher education, offer a variety of services to help Virginians learn after high school.
