Educational Credit Management Corporation (ECMC), a member of ECMC Group companies, was appointed by the U.S. Department of Education to be the designated FFELP guarantor for the Commonwealth of Virginia and for the state of Oregon. In addition to our commitment to our designated states, ECMC also provides guarantee services nationwide. In partnership with schools, lenders, and loan servicers, we use our resources to responsibly administer the federal loan programs by: finding solutions that best meet the needs of the students, providing creative and comprehensive default prevention services, and actively participating in industry initiatives
